With almost 30 years of professional experience as a tour guide, she also has excellent people skills and a top-rate ability to enhance visitors’ experience.Kelly’s passion, enthusiasm and genuine love for sharing her knowledge of Greek culture with travelers from around the world, motivated her to join Discover Greek Culture and be part of the unique experiences it offers.

With an enviable career in education spanning no less than 25 years, Christina is a genuine artist that brings with her wide-ranging and in-depth expertise in working with children and designing educational projects. Art, culture, and people are her passion and there is nothing more exciting for her than discovering new areas of Greek culture, especially with children.
Drawing on her extensive work experience in schools, universities, museums and cultural centers, both in Greece and abroad, Christina helped design DGC’s Young Explorers tours. One of her goals has been the devising of art activities that will help children to discover interests in arts and culture, while stimulating them to think actively and creatively. Christina trusts that information should be sought after and not imposed, calling this “an educational challenge”.

Anthi’s advanced academic background in art, culture and classic archaeology has afforded her in-depth knowledge of the fields Discover Greek Culture works in.
Years of academic research, both theoretical and in the field, as well as significant teaching experience at university level, have augmented her ability to share this expertise in ways that are both engaging and appealing—a skill she further honed through professional training as a tour guide.
Anthi worked with the team in developing interesting and unique approaches to the various destinations on DGC’s itineraries and also joins many of our tours as a field expert, sharing her expertise with guests through anecdotes and insider insight. Her motivation to join the team is a result of a shared approach to cultural tourism, which Anthi believes should be broad and inclusive—about memorable experiences and original ideas.

Having graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the National School of Guides, Maria brings with her extensive knowledge in the history of Santorini, Athens and Delphi.
Her passion and ability to effectively communicate her vast knowledge of both ancient and modern Greek history made her a certified tour guide. Maria became a member of Discover Greek Culture’s expert team in 2015 and invites you to discover together the wild beauty and splendor of Santorini.

Passionate about nature and public spaces, Stavroula studied agronomy and landscape architecture and has been designing green spaces for 20 years. She also teaches, writes for magazines and newspapers and dreams of green cities full of creative people.
Stavroula is Discover Greek Culture’s guest host for tours of the National Garden, where she puts her thorough knowledge and appreciation to use introducing visitors to the history and significance of what is arguably the Greek capital’s most important public park.

With a PhD in Byzantine Studies and hands-on archaeological experience, Chryssa brings to DGC an unrivaled understanding and expertise in the rich history of Athens and the broader Attica region.
Passionate about sharing the beauty and history of her favorite city, Chryssa has guiding tourists on intelligent itineraries through Athens for several years. Known for her poetic flair, Chryssa lives by the credo that – in the words of Melina Mercouri – ‘one cannot be a citizen of Greece without first believing in Utopia.’
Chryssa has contributed to the development of remarkable approaches to DGC’ tours, sharing her deep well of knowledge with guests in an engaging and motivating way.

Passionate about art through the ages, George is a natural fit for Discover Greek Culture. Building on his academic background in archaeology and Asian art, George has taught art history and archaeology, has participated in numerous excavation projects in Europe and North Africa and has served as a consultant for prestigious cultural institutions.
With research interests that have been shifting from Byzantine to Islamic art and have even encompassed China, and with previous professional experience as a lecturing guide for the British Museum, SOAS University of London, and other educational and cultural institutions, George embarked upon designing DGC’s Byzantine- and Ottoman-themed tours and enriching them with varied and unusual content.
Planned for Athens (as a City Break) and Thessaloniki (as Half-Day and Day tours), these tours are scheduled to launch soon and will feature sites and attractions hand-picked for their artistic and architectural merit and historical importance. George’s tours are designed to not just showcase the art and culture of the respective periods, but to also highlight their influence upon the places visited and their living legacy.

Nicoletta’s academic background in archaeology and art history as well as her extensive professional experience with one of the most acclaimed museums in Greece, afford her unique insight and knowledge of the subject matter and industry alike.
An avid traveler herself, Nicoletta is passionate about discovering different cultures and was eager to share her passion and expertise with Discover Greek Culture.
Nicoletta helped design DGC’s archaeology–themed Athens tours and one of her main objectives was to create interesting tours that offer visitors the opportunity to discover Greece through the eyes of its people. With a PhD from the University of Athens and a Master’s degree from King’s College London, both in classical archaeology, Georgios brings a sophisticated depth of knowledge to Discover Greek Culture’s fields.
Having been awarded several honors for his pursuit of research and writing, Georgios also possesses extensive hands-on archaeological experience through his participation in various projects of the National Archaeological Museum and the Foundation of the Hellenic World. Following twelve-years of experience in lecturing Ancient Greek and Byzantine culture, Georgios decided to transform his passion into a gift for travelers, providing them with unprecedented insight.

Konstantina (Nadia) Pavlikaki has an academic background in archaeology and art history and she is a fanatical and knowledgeable Athenian.
Nadia has worked for the Ministry of Culture, for private collections of art and art exhibitions, as well as as a leader of educational programs for children and of cultural trips in Greece and abroad. She is also a licensed professor of Spanish and passionate about the Hispanic culture, teaching at the Hellenic American University of Athens. She looks forward to sharing her understanding and enthusiasm for Greece’s unrivaled archaeological wealth with all visitors—and to make each tour unique and memorable.

Iris is an accomplished Visual Artist who channels her passion for Hellenic art and culture into all of her professional endeavors. In addition to her studio practice, Iris has spent the last 15 years working as an educator and onsite lecturer in major international museums, including the Acropolis Museum, The Tate Gallery in London and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
With an extensive academic background in art history and classical archaeology, Iris provides unmatched insight into the history and culture of Athens—conveying her love and enthusiasm for the city at every step.

An out-and-out archaeologist, Pavlina has devoted her academic career to the study of Classical Archaeology to present an original contribution to the field as well as to DGC’s guests. Knowledgeable and engaging, Pavlina embodies all the noble qualities of a tour guide along with her commitment to sharing the country’s bounties with DGC’s guests.
Pavlina has worked as a contract archaeologist for the Ministry of Culture and as a teacher of English at a Public Institute of Vocational Training, which afforded her leadership and people management skills. Her enthusiasm about archaeology is inextinguishable and you will be tracing the fingerprints of Greek history in no time.

Felicity is passionate about all things green. Growing up in the UK, she studied horticulture and fell in love with teaching people about the fascinating world of plants.
As an accomplished environmental psychologist, she believes that green spaces are essential in cities, as they provide space for exploration and relaxation. She is drawn to Athens, her adopted city, because of the city’s timeless parks and gardens, and the stories they tell.
